  1. let me tell you about my heart. it longs for God. it longs to serve and love other people.

I am beyond excited to go on my second mission trip to Guatemala. Seriously, right now it is 3:48 a.m. and I am writing this blog post. Serving others and going on mission trips has always been a huge part of my faith and life journey. Every time I go I am overwhelmed with great joy and love with abandon. The best days of my life have been on those in which I leave my “comfortable, everyday-normal-life” to go out and serve.
I cannot wait to see what amazing things God has in store for us. My prayer is that each one of us does-without regret, what we feel called to do. It is going to be an amazing week, and I believe it will be fruitful not just for the people in Guatemala, but for us serving as well.

  6. Mr. and Ms. Quist and Family, It has been great to work with Jessica in Guatemala. I am Tim Brummel on her team and a parent on the trip. She has been a great lto get to know Jessica and she has been a light and beacon of sunshine for me on this trip. Every time I look at her, she is smiling and has such a great spirit about her. Even when she wasn’t feeling well on one of the building days, she persevered and allowed other members of the team to care for her. She then returned the help and thanks many times over since then. She connects with the Guatemalen kids in such a great, non-threatening way and helps the adults see the love of Christ through her. She has given me a lot of hope and help in my own spiritual walk and the blessings that she has provided me will go long past this trip.
Blessings to you and to all of your Family.
