  6. Thank you so much everybody for your prayers and support! Yes mom, there are lots of chickens, goats, cows, and HUNDREDS of dogs wandering around everywhere 🙂 I am having an amazing experience here! As you could see from the pictures, the homes we built turned out pretty awesome. I couldn’t ask for a better team to be here with! Also, the people here are so welcoming and hospitable, they don’t have much yet they give us pepsi, watermelons, pineapples, papayas, bananas, and many other fruits and snacks (btw I have never tasted sweeter pineapples than the ones they generously provided for us. I am learning so much and love playing with the children – making balloon animals (the motorcycles and flowers are their favorites) playing catch, and throwing tootsie rolls to all the kids out of the van window as we drive to and from the base 🙂 I can’t wait to see what else God has in store for me! Ps: Mom, if you’re reading this, my flip flops broke so bring more to the cottage for me (black nike ones por favor)

  7. Hey Amber,
I am so excited for you and this incredible opportunity you have to serve the people in Guatemala. I know He will do amazing this through you! I loved hearing that you are using your gifts with balloon animals! That is so special! Also your little “p.s.” message to your mom about you flip-flops made my entire family laugh out loud! So happy to hear that you still have your fun personality despite the lack of sleep! Keep it up beautiful! God’s got some big plans for you! Keep your eyes and heart open! Love you babe!
